Days that fill themselves

A pool, a river, a fire on Fridays, and the village just down the path. Here’s what a week looks like.

This week at Alder Creek

Campfire & marshmallows

The week ends around the fire. Bring a story or just listen. The crackling does most of the talking.

Every Friday, 9pm

Morning yoga by the river

An hour of slow movement on the riverbank, before the day warms up. All levels, mats provided.

Tuesdays & Saturdays, 8am

Night market evening

Local makers, string lights and live music on the central meadow. Come hungry.

Every Wednesday, July–August

Always on, always here

Natural swimming pool

Open daily, June–September

A heated pool with a shallow end for the little ones, and deckchairs under the pines for everyone else.

Kayak & paddle rental

Daily from the boathouse

The river is calm here. Perfect for a first paddle. Life jackets and a dry bag included.

Worth the short trip

Farmers market in the village

Sunday mornings, 3 km

Cheese, peaches and honest bread. Go early, take the bike path along the river.

Ridge trail hike

Trailhead at 5 min

A 2-hour loop with the valley at your feet. Doable in sandals; better in shoes.

Bike loop of the two bridges

Bikes for rent at reception

Flat, shaded, and mostly along the water. The ice-cream stop halfway is non-negotiable.
